The Lowering Emissions in Asian’s Forests (LEAF) program is working with universities across the region to create climate change curriculum in REDD+ and related climate change fields.  The US Forest Service (USFS) works with LEAF to provide strategic technical support  by engaging a team of US forestry education specialists and academics to work with universities on developing climate change curricula for degree programs and non-degree training courses.

LEAF recently held a 10-day training workshop in Bangkok, bringing together academics from the U.S. and from around the region who have been involved in developing and implementing forestry and sustainable natural resource management curricula.  This workshop tested the development of LEAF climate change curriculum and teaching materials, and solidified next steps to finalize and apply the curriculum.
