Vietnam's Dalat University has adopted materials from the United States Agency for International Development’s Lowering Emissions in Asia’s Forests (USAID LEAF) climate change curriculum to use in a mandatory course for all students. Developed over the past two years by 14 universities in USAID LEAF’s six core countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Vietnam) with help from USAID partners, the curriculum will reach 8,000 students through a course required for all incoming students.
The curriculum consists of three modules: the causes of climate change, the current and future impacts of climate change and response measures to climate change in Vietnam and around the world. Read more here.
