The Mekong-U.S. Partnership (MUSP) held a wide range of engaging activities across the Mekong sub-region July-September.

Key events include the launch of MUSP’s WE Inspire program in Cambodia through a series of informational Road Shows in the Battambang Province. Over 80 women signed up for the WE Inspire Program in Cambodia and will receive additional training and information about healthcare, insurance, financial literacy, and business skills.

The Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs’ Office of Multilateral Affairs (EAP/MLA), the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) hosted an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on “Countering Vector-Borne Diseases” in the Mekong region, bringing together 10 participants from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The Stimson Center’s 7th MUSP Track 1.5 Policy Dialogue on Transboundary Governance featured discussions on needs and opportunities related to regulation and conservation of natural resources, optimization of dam management, policies and institutions related to water management, and nature-based solutions for water governance.
