The training focused on Gender Planning with an emphasis on Gender Analysis and organizational change. This training was conducted in each of LEAF countries and will also include a field trip to the one of the LEAF project sites for gender analysis.
Objectives:
1) To build the knowledge level of the participants on the basic concepts, methods and tools for integrating gender into project planning, and within their respective organizations.
2) To develop the capacity of the participants in conducting gender analyses in REDD+ related projects.
3) To examine the gender-disaggregated roles and status of men and women in forestry and other natural resource management sectors.
4) To develop skills to prepare “Action plans” for organizations who wish to integrate gender into its organizational structure and culture.
The training will be conducted using participatory methods and principles from adult learning.
A similar 5-day training will also be held in Nghe An, Vietnam.
