Mekong - U.S. Partnership
The Mississippi River Commission delegation includes key leadership, and U.S. Government and Non-governmental partner organizations. This exchange included tours of the facilities of the Mekong River Commission, and the facilities of the MiRC member nations’ national water committees, and included visits to the Mekong River Basin. The completion of this technical exchange facilitated an exchange of knowledge and expertise on shared basin management between the MiRC Officials and the MiRC enhancing both organizations understanding of the basin-wide impacts of infrastructure development in a river ecosystem.
The Mekong-U.S. Partnership is a multinational partnership among Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam, and the United States to create integrated cooperation among the five Lower Mekong countries. Learn more >
