U.S. Department of Interior International Technical Assistance Program (DOI-ITAP)

The U.S. Department of Interior International Technical Assistance Program (DOI-ITAP) advances the Department of Interior's mission by providing government-to-government technical assistance and capacity building opportunities in other countries through workshops, training, and mentoring DOI-ITAP hosts the NexGen program, which provides educational and mentorship opportunities for early career professionals and scientists from the Mekong sub-region.

NexGen provides funding for educational and professional development opportunities, and places fellows with private organizations, universities, and government agencies within the United States and Mekong countries, providing educational and mentorship opportunities for early career professionals and scientists from the Mekong sub-region.
